Jerry has been with MSU Extension since 1999 as a member of the MSU Extension Pork AoE Team. He works with commercial pork producers and pork-related youth activities across central Michigan. His main educational with Michigan’s commercial pork industry aims to help ensure that producers meet current environmental standards. He has worked individually with producers siting new production facilities, developing manure management systems plans and addressing farm odors. He also has responsibilities in the PQA Plus program (Pork Quality Assurance Plus Welfare) and the Trucker Quality Assurance Program (TQA).
Jerry received his bachelor’s degree in animal science from Michigan State University in 1975 and his master’s degree in 2005.
