Geoff’s overarching mission blends extension, research and teaching into scholarly inquiry that results in positive change for communities and the environment. His activity addresses the general question of how we more effectively engage a range of information to help us better manage natural resources.

He has conducted outreach and research with ranchers and watershed management in Oregon, farmers and best management practices in Michigan, and agricultural watershed management in Kenya.

Geoff holds a doctorate in fisheries and wildlife from Oregon State University, a master’s degree in fisheries management from Mississippi State University, and a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Miami.
